Sitting on the side of a hill moments from the Seenimodera coastline, The Teak House is a delightful new wooden villa with a natural and relaxing atmosphere. Benefiting from a constant breeze from the ocean below, the property is unpretentious yet extremely comfortable. The villa looks down through a small forest of coconut trees to the Seenimodera coastline beyond. There is a large garden area and good views down to the bay, a short 60-second stroll away. It is well suited for romantic getaways (ideal for a honeymoon or two couples) and small families or groups of friends.

Accommodation
The Teak House has two spacious en suite bedrooms, well furnished and tastefully decorated.  The attached bathrooms have hot and cold water.

Facilities
There is an open-plan sitting, dining area and well equipped kitchen.  There is no swimming pool, but the villa is within easy walking distance of the beach. Roshan, the houseboy, is in training as a chef but for the moment will do all your shopping and food preparation.  The villa is located close to Amanwella for those wanting a lavish dinner or some pampering in their spa. There are other simple beachside eating-out options in the area.

Excursions
The Teak House serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding seas, inland, wild life, as well as the southern cultural heritage. The surrounding bays and beaches in Weligama, Mirissa, and Tangalle offer a perfect environment for swimming and snorkeling along the coral reefs.   For the more adventurous, a jeep safari to the Yala wildlife park with 400 sq. miles of jungle with herds of elephants, sloth bear, deer, wild boar, monkeys, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, is an interesting day’s excursion.
