I'm a srilankan and i also was anxiously waiting to visit Jaffna and went there last week. Its a good place and there are many places to see as well. It was very hot out there and might be ok now because of the rains!
Visit Trincomale Anuradhapura, Pinnawala (elephant orphanage) and Sinharaja!! i hope it will be a good trip!

I dont think its a real good time for you to be here because the climate is not so impressive! Its heavely raining and and flooded every where! I think now its a bit ok, but seems unpredictable.

Jaffna is Daaam hot, yes you can visit Jaffna...a good place but certainly there is a lot to develop in there!
