Tuesday Aug 17, 2010 Visitor arrivals from the UKto Sri Lankawere up 51% last month, compared to the same period last year. After 30 years, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has lifted all travel restrictions to Sri Lanka, meaning that British tourists are able to explore all aspects of the country.
At present, The Tourism Promotion Bureau is keen to encourage visitors to the newly reopened areas to the East of the country, including Arugam Bayand Trincomale and Yala National Park.
